The kit comprises a remote control, an Exhaust Control Unit, one harness and two short harnesses.
ExCU.
This control unit controls the by-pass valves mounted on the vehicle’s exhaust system. It is designed to work both in a stand-alone situation and in a piggyback mode. When in piggyback mode, the ExCU is placed between the OEM valve controller and the bypass valves.
The valves that can be controlled are:
- Pneumatic by-pass valves - diaphragm valves that are controlled in PWM by one or two servo valves that modulate the pressure generated by depression tanks, and
- Electric by-pass valves, valves equipped with electrical engines, reducer and integrated electronic control.
The ExCU sensors can measure a maximum acceleration of 3kg for 500 microseconds. This characteristic permits its use also on vehicles in extreme conditions, such as OFF ROAD and race vehicles.
