This exhaust was designed for the base model, non-PSE equipped vehicles.
The 2017+ 991.2 Carrera was an incredible step forward in terms of horsepower and torque, as well as chassis and suspension improvements. But as we heard from the exhaust when we first tested the car and from repeat customer feedback, it's just not sporty or loud enough for many people who are used to the rumble of a flat-six. If your car was optioned with the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE), you may be content with the sound of the original system, but for those who lack this option, they may want something a bit more representative of the car. Our exhaust was designed to give the new Carrera a sports car sound for a fraction of the price of the factory PSE upgrade retrofit.

This exhaust system was designed with maximum performance in mind so we used free-flowing mandrel-bent tubing: there is no X-intersection or crossover, as these will restrict exhaust flow albeit slightly. The system removes the factory muffler, which gives drivers more turbo whistling sounds, removes about 10 pounds from the original system, and though we have not had a chance to dyno this system yet, we do expect it to add approximately 15 RWHP to the 3.0 Turbo motor found in the 991.2 Carrera (our similar PSE system dynoed at over 20 HP to the wheels increase on PSE equipped GTS models). Our exhaust sounds deeper and more exotic than the factory system, but still does not drone or have resonance at freeway speeds.
Our exhaust is made from USA stainless steel and built-to-order by hand in California. It will only fit 991.2 Carrera models without the factory PSE-upgrade. The exhaust re-uses the original exhaust tips so the look from outside the car is OEM.
The exhaust is emissions friendly in that it does not alter or remove the catalytic converter or header system on the car, and it will not trigger check engine lights. Installation time is typically about 1.5 to 2 hours and is completely reversible, with no cutting or welding required. All required gaskets and hardware for installation are included with the product. We designed the exhaust for an exact fitment with the other original components so it should not be difficult or frustrating to install for qualified technicians.
This exhaust is significantly louder than the original, particularly when cold-starting the vehicle, revving at a stop, and under wide-open throttle. That said, due to the nature of the car's original catalytic converters and turbochargers, the car is still tame under most normal conditions and can be driven in traffic and city environments without too much-added attention. It's difficult to describe how loud an exhaust is from videos and descriptions online, but we do believe this video is representative of the product's sound. PLEASE NOTE: This exhaust only fits the 991.2 Base models with the 3.0L turbo engine and standard exhaust system. It does not fit the 991.1 3.4 or 3.8L cars, and it does not fit the 991.2 S, GTS, or cars with the PSE exhaust system upgrade.
