QuickSilver and CarbonWurks present the G8X Sound Architect™ Exhaust. Featuring the iconic MPE-style V-configuration tailpipes paired with full pre-preg carbon diffuser and exhaust tips.
Unlike the OEM sports system, which barely delivered on acoustics, QuickSilver’s Sound Architect™ sport exhaust is a significant step up in volume, tone and valve functionality.
The system is offered in two parts: OPF-Back - for owners wanting to keep their car emissions friendly; OR with optional OPF & Secondary Cat Delete pipes (supplied with pre-programmed terminator connectors so the vehicle does not require remapping, with the ability to revert back to stock without a trace).
From the factory, the G80 / G82 is restricted by WLTP valve programming or ‘active noise suppression, which requires the factory exhaust valves to close arbitrarily below 30mph (all driving modes), at anything other than full throttle input, and every time you lift off. Stifling the robust straight-six soundtrack these cars are famed for. Pairing with Sound Architect™ provides the driver with 100% control over the sound, with valves open or shut permanently via the app without interference from the car. The valves can now also be opened in any driving mode.
QuickSilver’s system features a built-in resonated H-Pipe, for a punchy but smoother note without intrusive cabin frequencies; 76mm tubing all the way through and a total silencer bypass with the valve open - creating a wonderful soundtrack rich with crackles and pops on the overrun that delight the senses. With the valve shut the gasses enter a triple-chambered pass, transforming the M4 into a more civilised beast, appropriate for early morning start-ups or long motorway journeys when refinement is key. 101mm carbon fibre tailpipes fill the rear valance to ensure this exhaust looks as good as it sounds.

What is the Sound Architect™?
Have you ever had the need, or want, to turn your Sport exhaust's sound down to a more discreet level? Or, to make it race-car loud - at the touch of a button?
With QuickSilver’s Sound Architect™ we provide you, the driver, with a personal choice – allowing you to select the appropriate soundtrack for your car and tailor that sound to suit the moment.
For your vehicle, we have analysed the sound to determine which elements should be suppressed and enhanced. The result is a superior exhaust note that amplifies the pleasure of driving.
QuickSilver's Sound Architect™ comprises two separate gas paths and an electronic valve to determine which is taken - Sport or Refined. This valve is controlled either by the QuickSilver Sound Architect™ APP, on the driver's smart device, or in many cases integrated into the car's existing controls.
Where appropriate, our sound module connects to an existing accessory socket and is then controlled wirelessly via the Sound Architect™ APP - there is no intrusion into any of the car's existing systems - It could not be simpler.
The QuickSilver Sound Architect™ systems are truly 'plug & play'.
